Registration and information desk
Early registration can be done on the evening before the conference on Wednesday October 30, 2013 from 19:00 to 21:00. During the conference, the desk is opened from 08:00 to 17:30.
The conference room for the plenary sessions is located at the 16th floor of the panorama tower. This year’s edition of BioCAS introduces parallel sessions (tutorial, special and regular sessions) on the 15th and 16th floor. The poster sessions are located at the 16th floor.
Free WiFi is available in the conference room and within the conference venue.
Please wear your badge at all times and mute your mobile phones during all sessions.
IEEE reserves the right to exclude any accepted paper from distribution after the conference (including removal from IEEE Xplore) if the accepted paper is not presented at the conference.
Lecture Presentation Policy
Speakers should arrive in the session room 15 minutes before the start of their session to report themselves to the session chair(s). Please load your presentation file onto the lecture room computer during the break before your session.
The duration of a presentation slot is 18 minutes (15 min. presentation and 3 min. questions).
Poster Presentation Policy
Presenters must place their poster within the first 5 minutes of their session and remove it immediately after it has ended. The number of your poster will be marked on the panel. Look for your number in the conference program. Adhesive material is available to attach your poster to the panel.
The coffee and tea breaks will take place on the 16th floor of the Panorama tower.
Lunch is provided to all BioCAS 2013 participants. Please go to the ground floor and follow directions to the Mainport restaurant.
Live demonstrations, knowledge/industry market & welcome reception
The live demonstrations and the knowledge/industry market will take place in the Panorama room on the 16th floor and gradually goes over into the welcome reception. Drinks and snacks will be served.
On Friday evening, November 1, 2013, all participants are invited to the conference banquet, which will take place on board of the modern and luxurious ship named ‘the James Cook’. Enjoy a unique dining experience and stunning scenery of the many architectural highlights of the city while the ship cruises around the city of Rotterdam and Europe’s largest port.
Important: please make sure to be at the Mainport lobby near the (lunch) restaurant no later than 18:15! From here it is a short walk to the ship boarding point at the right hand side of the Erasmus bridge. Boarding time is 18:30 and the ship leaves the dock at 19:00. Please bring your banquet ticket as it will be checked when entering the ship. Additional banquet tickets can be purchased during registration hours at the registration desk for $120 USD each.
